For decades the late John H. Meyer devoted his spare time and money to collecting just about anything related to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.  His collection is quite diverse and includes china and silver service, paper, locks, lanterns, tools, signs, photographs, books and videos, and even railroad recipes.  Mr. Meyer also built an HO scale model railroad layout with exquisite detail and this collection includes over 400 pieces of B&O rolling stock in HO Scale with many brass pieces. Mountain Valley Auction Group has been contracted to sell the model railroad collection and railroadiana in a simulcast auction on June 30, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM.  The auction will be held at the historic B&O Roundhouse in Martinsburg WV.  Shipping will be available at the buyers expense for online bidders.

Online bidding is currently open and more items will be added to the catalog up until the week of the auction so check back often.
Buyers Premium and Sales Tax: The Buyer's Premium of 10% will be added to each successful bid for onsite buyers and 13% for online buyers to determine the total sale price.  There will be no sales tax charged for this auction.
 
Payment: Cash, Credit Card, or Good Check are approved methods of payment. Payment must be made in full the day of the auction and items may not be removed from the auction site until paid for. Online bidders will be contacted after the auction to arrange payment.

Shipping: Shipping will be available for online buyers at the buyers expense. Mountain Valley Auction Group will package items and deliver to either UPS, FEDEX, or USPS. There will be a packaging and handling fee of $5 per lot plus actual shipping charges. Please remember that large and heavy items may be very expensive to ship. Mountain Valley Auction Group will make every effort to ship items in a timely manner but due to the large quantity of items in this auction it may take a week or two to complete all packaging and shipping. If the customer wishes to make other shipping arrangements all items must be removed from the auction site within 6 hours of the end of the auction and after that all items will need to be picked up at the Mountain Valley Auction Group office in Dayton VA. Any items not picked up after 10 days will be considered abandoned property and will be disposed of accordingly.

Merchandise: All Items Are Sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. We urge you to examine all items carefully and satisfy yourself as to the condition and bid accordingly. We will not be accepting returns or providing refunds.

Preview: All of the items will be available to preview at the auction site on June 29th from 2 PM to 8 PM. A test track will be set up so you can test locomotives. Please satisfy yourself as to the condition of each item before placing your bids.

Condition: We have included multiple high quality photographs in the online listing and we urge you to examine them closely to ascertain the condition of the item. Bidding: The highest bidder for each item shall be the buyer, and if any dispute arises as to any bidding, or between two or more bidders, the auctioneer will have sole discretion to determine the successful bidder, or the disputed lot shall be offered again at the last undisputed bid and resold. The auction record kept by Auctioneer and Clerk is final.

Buyers are responsible for their items after being pronounced the winning bidder but may not take possession of the items until payment has been made in full.
