This auction is for a collection of model railroad items from manufacturers like Lionel, American Flyer, Marx, Tyco, Bachmann, Mantua, and more. We have prewar, postwar, and modern era trains in G Scale, O Gauge and O27, S Gauge, HO scale, N Scale, and Few Z Scale. These items come from a single owner collection belonging to a lifelong model railroad hobbyist.

We have not officially graded these items but we have included multiple quality photo's for each item so you can assess the cosmetic condition. Most of these items will be in the C-3 to C-5 range and show shelf wear, nicks, scratches or other defects. Some items are missing parts or may not be operational. We have not tested the operation of any of these items and we make no guarantee that they will operate when you receive them. Please bid accordingly. There will be a preview opportunity on February 26 from 3-5 PM. You are urged to come to the auction location and satisfy yourself as to the condition of these items.

Preview, Shipping, and Pickup Information:

This is an online only auction which will begin to close on February 26 at 7:00 PM and will close at the rate of 2 lots per minute with a 1 minute auto extend. That means if a bid is placed within the last minute for any lot the time for that lot will be extended for one more minute.

Preview for this auction: All of the items will be available to preview on Thursday February 26 from 3-5 PM at the auction location 350 Bowman Road, Dayton VA 22821.  Pickup is at the same location on Friday February 27 from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday February 28 from 9 AM to Noon.

Shipping is available for all items in this auction. We use shippingsaint.com to handle our shipping. You will receive a separate invoice for shipping from Shipping Saint. Packaging and handling charges will be $2 per lot except for those large and/or fragile lots with a packaging and handling surcharge noted in the item description. Shipping will be billed at actual shipping rates from UPS or USPS. If you purchase multiple lots, they will be combined for lowest cost shipping. All items will be shipped within 7 business days of the close of the auction. Please keep in mind that shipping for large and heavy items may get expensive.

Terms of the Sale:

Buyers Premium and Sales Tax: The Buyer's Premium of 10% will be added to each successful bid. Virginia Sales Tax of 5.3% will be charged on all items unless the buyer provides a valid sales tax exemption form. Sales tax exemption must be claimed and form presented before payment is made.

Merchandise: All Items Are Sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. We urge you to examine all items carefully and satisfy yourself as to the condition and bid accordingly. We will not be accepting returns or providing refunds.

Payment: Cash, Credit Card (3% Fee Applies), Wire Transfer, and Good Check are approved methods of payment. This online only auction will require bidders to enter a valid credit card in order to register to bid. When registering to bid, the credit card will be checked for available credit of $100 but the card will not be charged. At the end of the auction all successful bidders will receive an invoice via email and payment can be made online. If payment arrangements are not made by the end of the pickup period then the credit card used for authorization purposes at the time of registration will be charged. All payments whether cash, check, or card must be made before any items are removed from the property.

Bidding: You must be registered to place a bid on an item. By placing a bid, you agree to all the terms and conditions that apply to this auction. All bids are final. We cannot retract or remove a bid. We respect your privacy and that of the other bidders. We will not release your information to anyone without your permission. This is an online only auction. The bidding will begin to close on February 26 at 7:00 PM and close at the rate of two lots per minute with a one minute auto extend. This means that if a bid is placed within one minute of the end of the auction the auction for that item will auto extend for an additional minute until no more bids are placed within the last minute.

Shipping: Shipping Will Be Available At Buyers Expense For All Items In This Auction. Please be aware that large and heavy items can be very expensive to ship. We process all our shipping through Shipping Saint. You will receive a separate invoice from them for the shipping. Packaging and handling charges will be $2 per lot except for those heavy and/or fragile lots marked as having a packaging and handling surcharge in the item description. Shipping will be billed at actual shipping rates from UPS or USPS.
